DOCTOR OF DENTAL SURGERY
UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND DENTAL SCHOOL AT BALTIMORE, 2005
While in attendance at University of Maryland of Baltimore’s Dental School, Dr. Joseph C. DiSano was part of the Catholic Medical Mission Tour and volunteered his dental services to residents of a remote village in the Dominican Republic. Upon graduation, Dr. DiSano went on to complete a one year residency in Advanced General Dentistry with the United States Air Force and remained on active duty until Fall of 1998.
Following his time as an active duty dentist, Dr. DiSano moved to Rhode Island to begin his private practice. He continued serving in the Air National Guard until 2004 at which point he retired.
Dr. DiSano is a proud member of several associations:
- The Rhode Island Dental Association
- DOCS Education as a lifelong learner
- American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry
- SPEAR Study Club
- The Academy of General Dentistry
- The American Dental Association
- The International Congress of Oral Implantologists
- American Dental Society of Anesthesiology
Dr. DiSano is a huge proponent of continuous education and advancing his knowledge base to keep up with modern developments in the field and continues to seek out appropriate certifications and associations.
In his free time, Dr. DiSano loves to go SCUBA Diving with his sons: Dylan and Daniel.
Dr. DiSano spent time explaining thoroughly and made sure all my questions were answered (Invisalign consult). It was a snow day and school was cancelled so my kids had to accompany me; the staff was accommodating and patient with them (much more so than I was!). We have had many visits to South County Smiles and can honestly say the entire staff is very caring, professional, and wants to make sure the patient has a good experience.
