Operation Gratitude seeks to lift the spirits and meet the evolving needs of the U.S. Military and First Responder communities, and provide volunteer opportunities for Americans to express their appreciation to all who serve our nation. We teamed up with them in order to do a candy collection and remove the surplus from our community. We were also excited to have been contacted by Monsignor Clarke School in order for their students to contribute as well. The Monsignor Clark School students had collected a commendable 34 pounds.
When our deadline was reached, we sorted and filled 4 large boxes with candy of various types into ‘chocolate’ and ‘non-chocolate’ categories. When we weighed them, we were impressed to see that we had a total of 83 pounds of candy!! This is an impressive total and we are so impressed and fortunate to live in such an amazing and giving community. We are so thankful for your support and know that the recipients will be grateful beyond measure for your generosity.
