Benjamin Droney, D.D.S.

General Dentist

Dr. Benjamin Droney is a driven and diverse healthcare professional who joined the South County Smiles team in September 2021, bringing a wealth of experience and passion for dentistry. Relocating from New York to Rhode Island, Dr. Ben earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Touro College of Dental Medicine.

During his studies, Dr. Ben served as a Dental Assistant at Camp Smith Military Training Site, where he played a pivotal role in enhancing the treatment workflow, successfully managing care for over 250 soldiers per day. After graduation, he completed his residency at Saint Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, where he gained extensive experience performing a wide range of surgical operations including restorative treatments, developing comprehensive multi-step treatment plans, and suturing intraoral and extraoral lacerations.

Commitment to Community Service

Throughout his educational career, Dr. Ben has demonstrated a deep commitment to serving underserved communities through various outreach programs. He led and pioneered several community-based initiatives alongside medical students, embracing a multi-disciplinary approach to healthcare. Some of his notable programs include:

● Big Brothers Big Sisters chapter of Westchester County, NY

Dr. Ben has been a dedicated Big Brother in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Chapter of Westchester County, NY for over 2.5 years, mentoring his little, Peter, and helping him overcome personal obstacles. His unwavering dedication to community service has won him numerous awards and dental scholarships including:

Born in Florida and spending much of his childhood in Southeast Asia, Dr. Ben has been immersed in diverse cultures and lifestyles. This unique upbringing has instilled in him a love for cultural experiences, which he seeks out whenever possible. In his free time, Dr. Ben enjoys golfing, playing tennis and basketball, and indulging in his passion for food and cooking. He believes in beginning joy, smiles, and positivity to those around him.

Dr. Ben’s dedication to his patients and his community makes him a valued member of the South County Smiles team, where he continues to provide exceptional dental care and support to all his patients.
